The Fuji Electric Company founded in 1923 with the joint venture of Japanese Furukawa Co., Ltd. and a European company in Japan. its first products were marketed in the field of electric transformers, electrical motors, and a variety of fans in 1924.
In the 1930s, Fuji Electric was recognized as one of the leading companies in the production of electrical products in the field of electricity distribution components such as Circuit Breaker and also the electric turbines. In the 40’s and till the middle of the 50’s due to World War II and the destruction of Japan’s infrastructure this company was not able to manufacture any products. Since the middle of 50’s Fuji Electric started its activity in the home market again and also produced the first series of magnetic Contactors and semiconductor equipment.
For more than 99 years since Fuji Electric was founded, the company has always been a pioneer in the technology supplier of the power industry and has been named the first industrial supplier for some equipment such as frequency inverter (VFD).
Fuji Electric’s wide range of product platforms in the power industry, such as power semiconductors, power plants from renewable energy sources(solar, wind, geothermal, fuel cells, etc.) has been established this corporation as a global player in the highly competitive electric market.
